Ready, set, go! I fell in love with the U.K. before I learned to write my name, and despite my many travels, I find that no one place draws me in as much as England does. I've traveled throughout the U.K. four times: twice in high school, once on my own in college, and as a tour guide for my husband in 2012. I'm a self-proclaimed Anglophile.
To experience England through the eyes of a first-time visitor is a most wonderful thing for me. I look forward to chaperoning students on this excursion the first week of June 2017 and inspiring students to explore cultural differences and find inspiration through discovering historical sites that have inspired countless others. My husband, Jake, and I will be chaperoning this trip. We both have a passion for learning through travel and have made travel a priority. Jake had a unique childhood and adolescence as his father was in the military. He was born in Germany and lived there for a total of 6 years, and he has lived in various states including 3 years in Hawaii. How horrible to be a teenager on Oahu and have early dismissal from high school for surfing? Since our wedding in 2008, we've traveled to Jamaica, New Jersey, New York, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio, Florida, Georgia, Ireland, Wales, England, Hawaii, and most recently to Louisiana. After hearing from multiple teachers and friends who have either chaperoned or taken trips through EF, I knew I would want to chaperon a trip through such a reputable company. This particular trip has been on my mind since 2015, and I am thrilled to see it come to fruition. |
